Hm. Whenever something like that happens, I’m reminded of a scene from Schlock Mercenary. Ironically, it’s the opposite situation – just after a robot was exploded, with only the head remaining:
WICK: What’s the big deal? Lota’s a robot, and the head is right there in one piece.
KEVYN: Just because you keep your brain in an exposed, bony protrusion doesn’t mean I’m dumb enough to build a robot that way.
Of course, you can justify either design with ease. Putting the brain somewhere else means more protection – and longer travel distance for all information, making reaction times slower (or longer?).
OTOH, if cables can transmit faster than our nerves, then maybe?
haha, well, i have individual issues on sale at comixology, but they never really took off. and i set a printed collection as a patreon goal, if i ever get some strong support, but there’s not the foot traffic to support it. i’ve looked into it, it’s a huge investment, one i would be willing to make, but only if i could be certain people would be into it. thanks for your interest!
I’m sure you’ve thought of this already, but what about T-Shirts? Seems there’s dozens of shops that can make them for you, and some webcomic artists seem to make a living off it. (I think?)
I think I’ve been pretty clear that I’m definitely wanting an omnibus (or whatever you want to call it!). I have several webcomics in print form now. And the sets too )for those who’ve published several seasons. )
And here I was thinking you were referring to the fact that a linux box will just keep running even if you do a bunch of terrible things to it. Where such information?
it’s funny you say that. i thought that that would be a little throw away bit of dialogue to flesh out the character of a robot that wasn’t finished. in a sense, i was trying to get across that he would seem naive, and autistic. not in an offensive way mind you, just… simple.
I was referring to the “No Windows” comment from the newborn robot who shot Mr TV-face, meaning to suggest the newborn was an alternative OS, not Mr. TV-face. But you’re right about the patch though…
Wow. And here I was thinking you were referring to the fact that a linux box will just keep running even if you do a bunch of terrible things to it. It might be crippled, but still serving stuff and whatever.

Why isn’t this collected in an omnibus so I can shower you with my money?

linux might be more stable, but i don’t think there’s an OS that can anti virus hot lead.
Windows bad! (Frankenstein voice)
One more thing I like about this page is how much the “No windows” comment reminds me of Rain Man.

Gawd damn, I am loving this comic. Always had a soft spot for Noir stories, and Sci-FI is always a favourite. Great work, just superb.
thanks! glad you’re a return customer. I’m having a good time doin it!
Robot’s OS must be OSX-based Or maybe Linux? :)
haha, whatever it was, it’s downgraded now. there’s no software update that’ll patch that.

oh wow, how did i not get that? it’s almost subliminal advertising for mac….

Dude’s lost his mind.
literally. well, most of it.
Cue Nelson Muntz, “Haw haw!”
yeah, i guess it’s nice seeing bad things happen to bad… people?
And another drop of relativistic honey finds a target……………..Awesome.
haha, glad you like it.
