I’ve been following this comic since there were less than 2 dozen pages posted, I sill haven’t a clue. Amazing art so evocative of a dystopia far from the one we live in now. Very mysterious, moody and broody, bloody, mudy, crudy… I got nothing more.
well thanks for piping up! i’m always happy to hear from the old time readers. people who been quietly reading for years. i’m glad so many people are sticking with me!
when i came up with angel, he was at his core a charmer who had lost the outward appearance of it. someone who had more, but is still coming to grips with his new reality. which might be a hard concept to sell in a comic. still, i liked the idea of a super suave disfigured but polite person who felt cheated, and just a jumble…. y’know?
fan theories?! aww… that’s cute. i barely have readers, but that they have theories? swelled head time! could be that i don’t know how to draw more that one type of face, or could be there’s more here for the intuitive reader… i wanna make this rewarding for the long time readers!
edit: oh, yes, that portrait behind him is what he was before. i want it appear as though when he’s on camera, he uses that as an avatar, of sorts, where the person on the other side sees a painting of him. which is, again, his vanity. and inability to cope with what he is now.
no no, you’re right. i’d rather fewer, more dedicated readers than thousands of fare weather readers. i wonder if when it’s all done, i’ll find a host of people who discover the comic as a singular completed work. that would be nice. but better yet, you guys are watching it as it unfolds. super fans!
When in the shit business, make sure the turd you’ve grabbed is solid… At least solid enough to fling…
The old man doesn’t know where his son is. Of course he doesn’t. Kid walks out the door, did you expect high-tech tracking from a geezer who only gets it together enough to not wander around naked? And now the boss has had enough. Yeah, sling some shit back before you get gunned down. The smart move would have been to just have a conversation, figure some angles, and just watch the father.
If Shin was the best operative Angel had, then Angel didn’t have much. And this whole shtick was to cause some embarrassment? I think there’s going to be a volcano erupting when Virgil gets to where he’s going, and Angel just might be in the way of some serious pyroclastic flow. Like making Hawaii look real tame.
and that’s kind of the feel i was going for. angel’s operation was at best just a lazy revenge scheme at this point, and his best people (and days) are gone. this is just one more spin around the bowl. but he ain’t done yet. not yet….
What’s so special about Ivar? the guy seems to know very well how to handle matters when things get rough.
Better than Shin, Angel and a whole lot of other guys as a matter of fact….I guess Ivar’s the rat that escapes the sinking ship and makes it to the shore.

Is that painting showing Angel before whatever happened to him? Because that looks a lot like Gibson wich makes me start fan theories!

We fans make up in zeal what we lack in numbers?
Aw, I dunno … I got nothin’.

yeah, pretty much. i though of ivar as being too slippery to die. that counts for a lot in this world, i think.
