A Virgil of Your Very Own

A bit back when the covid was doing it’s covid thing, I realized i had some spare time on my hands, and decided that if i didn’t keep myself busy, I would be running the streets with a pack of stray dogs inside a week. But with a mask on, come on now, I wasn’t about to go THAT feral. So, I got myself a 3d printer, an some plastic, and thought that would be an fun little toy.

Ok, it’s fun, but my god is it complex. But, I also have a background in 3d modelling, so, i thought to myself, ‘Myself, you should model something, and print it out!’ That was a while ago, but I’m happy now to show you all the fruits of my labours.

You may, or may not be so surprised, but this actually took a a lot of work, and a lot of time. I made the mistake of choosing a character largely made of pistons. and thin things like that are delicate. well, it was, but then i worked it out, and this is actually pretty sturdy, AND, I think it came out quite well.

So, where I’m at now, is I’d like to find a way to gift to my high tier patrons a virgil bust of their very own. depending on what kinda of response i get to this post, and who maybe interested, i’ll figure out a way to do it. might just mean patrons cover the costs of shipping. anyone else who wants one, let me know, and maybe with a fixed donation on my Kofi account, we can make this happen!

I don’t expect demand will be so high i will have to work out an actual online payment method situation, but to those who are interested, let me know either as an email, or in response to this post. I did it mainly to do it, and i thought it would be a fun thing to do. If i could, i’d give one to everyone who wanted one, but shipping is a racket, so here we are.

the added bonus of having actually modelled virgil is now maybe my drawings of him will have a hint of constancy, now that i have a real live model to pose for me.

no nudes.

ok, he does nudes.
