Freezing the head first and putting the laser on a timer would be a lot less lethal and possibly allow for safer transport (magnets?). Even if you don’t get out you’d still survive, even if your next attempts will probably be far harder.
well, i think it has more to do with the faith she put into her own machine, rather than the exact plan she enacted. all that juxtaposed against her self assured attitude that she was telling someone off.
Wow. I’ve got so many questions. Instantly hooked. Never had a comic compel me to quickly Google how long a human head can remain severed from a human body. Can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
actually, she intended for her head to be put in stasis, and revived later. how? SCIENCE!! but yeah, a few drops would get you a clone, maybe, but it wouldn’t be the same person with memories intact. thanks for the question!
LOL just found this comic the other day. This scene brightened my day, lets hope a fleck of skin/hair made it in. Guess ill find out cause u got a new reader.
There are several ways this could have been avoided
Practice with the corpse.
Head above (or even partly in) the jar before laser turned on.
Shave head, or at least cut hair.
Better grips (rubber or spiky) on the grabber.
…maybe she should have put the jar underneath the head-cutting table, or pre-attached her head with a clamp. Why do geniuses have to be so sloppy o.o Also bravo, I only suspected this with >3% you psycho :P

thanks! i’m glad you’re into it, i hope you enjoy the comic!
Umm … I thought she just wanted a cell sample in the case, in which case the blood suffices. The head is left behind to allay suspicion, no?

I guess I’m Chaotic Evil at heart then… I chuckled. I ~was surprised though.

hindsight is 20/20, am i right?
come to think of it, i wrote it, and i never considered she could ‘practice’. which, i guess means she didn’t either. haha.
I’m a professional software developer and I write test cases even when my own head isn’t involved (which is hardly ever).
Thinking that the program will work perfectly, untested, is a rookie mistake.
I’m sure she won’t ever make that mistake again, though.
hahah, what do they say in programming….. garbage in, garbage out? well……
This is just like those plushie machines at every shopping ever…
Should have tested it beforehand with that corpse.
You know, it’s funny, I never considered that….. So I suppose she didn’t either. But it adds more pointlessness to her death if you think about it

i guess that was part of the point. she could have done anything differently and for it not to end up like this.
Ah….ahhh that was just…ahhh I’m grinning but ahhh…it was painful to see. I like this comic so far. :D
great! and yeah, funny but cringeworthy was what i was hoping for.
Is it wrong I laughed at this?
nah, it just means you’re a bad person. but I am too, clearly.
Um … oops? :)
Made me grin like a Cheshire cat.
that’s the reaction i was hoping for. my stuff won’t likely work well with peole who don’t have a wicked streak.
You… you *evil* author!
thanks, I try. it’s gonna get worse too.
Wow. Worst UFO catcher moment ever.
