Once upon a time, when cars had style.

My mechanic took me to a little auto show last weekend. We rode in his 1935 Ford. There was a Packard with its long engine, there were a few others from the mid-1930’s. There were custom cars, too. One fellow took a 1940s Nash body, widened and elongated it, and put it on an Oldsmobile chassis.

Now cars have been looking like blobs. Seen a new Range Rover? Looks like any other SUV. The Jeep Cherokee is made in Italy, and under a different label it’s a Lamborghini. It used to be that you could easily tell one make from another. Not so much anymore.

reminds me of marv from sin city saying something to that effect. cars nowadays look like electric shavers. have you ever used an electric shaver? feels like someone driving back and forth over your face.

that sounds like a blast though. chillin in the old machines. i like the style, and i think it’s due for a comeback. i’ve never been a car guy, but it seems to me, if car guys are going to sexualize cars, they might as well be the kinda cars that have some curves.

Agreed! Though I find my old VW Beetles more ‘cute’ and endearing in their simplicity than sexy, but whatever reason people like ’em (or don’t) I won’t judge.
And hey, the dude that lived! Been a while!

yup. i mean, it was only an ‘issue’ or so ago, but in the slow webcomic pace, it’s been like a year. time flies, eh?
