Streamlined for Extra Whooshiness
i had a helpful suggestion the other day, and i took it to heart. after some thunking about it, i decided to scrap the blog posts, and just add whatever little rants i feel tickle me, to the actual comic page area. it’ll not mean much, aside from the fact that there won’t be a comment section for the comic AND my blogginess. so, this should make things a little easier. i encourage you to comment to your hearts content though, even though you now have to expand to see the comments if you’re on the main page.
i’ll work on it. we’ll get there, together. hahah
that is all. end of line.
Have You ever had a dream that blended into some memory, so that, one day or a few days later, you couldn’t tell which part of what you remember was a memory from RL and which part was a memory from the dream?
I have.
It’s literally confusing.
Not that this has much to do with the comic, but we the readers were asked to comment to our hearts content and this is the thought that just crossed my mind, triggered a robot telling about a dream.
absolutely. and i think both characters have a point. that’s the point. dreams ARE crap, but even crap means something. and what we dream about, and the way we remember them changes as we try to recall them.
half the time, i think dreams are just defragged information going through our brains as we try to sort ‘data’. that’s why a sentient machine that dreams…. doesn’t seem that far fetched to me.
THIS is what I was talking about, a couple comment pages sho. I want to build these. Pt of cardboard tubes, random plastic bits, straws for piping ( a Best Use for plastic straws! ).
And I got caught in your bloginess pages, couldn’t find this comic line for ~months! Just found it, finally, though, about a week ago. Not your fault, all is good. Now. Lol
hopefully the subtle change int he layout will mean no one will get lost again.
there’s a model building style called ‘kitbash’, i believe, where you take unrelated models, and make new things out of them. mostly robots, and what not, but i think it would work well for backgrounds as well. i would say, print some textures of alleys onto cardboard, use the as tiles. could be interesting!
And here robots sleep, and perchance to dream.
Stanislaw Lem’s robots also had past lives, as they could be recycled into other robots. Memories could be fragmented, and what was in the past could resurface. Another author explored what it could mean for a “ghost” to be present in a robot, as the robot picked up the conversations of men trapped aboard a starship as they were dying, and then extrapolated them.
Wherever we go, we leave traces.
^this guy gets it.
We fear change o_o
some changes are good. most aren’t. you are right to fear.
Stunning drawing.
thanks! glad you like it!
