GRRM-style could mean “horrible and random.” However, it could *also* mean “in Winds of Winter, which I promise will be out in 2016,” which would make Sandrine effectively immortal.
I can’t help but wonder if Sandrine is being polite or if she’s planting suggestions in Julius’ mind, in case he ever does get enough access to free himself. It does raise some questions about how programming works in this world. Juilius’ AI has shown it was written to be able to learn from conversations.
As for W (whose name I forgot how to spell), I am guessing he didn’t actually program the upper levels of whatever is running Julius. My impression is this is an off-the-shelf solution with multiple levels of autonomy. W might have programmed (or just configured) the base level Julius started the comic at because J was supposed to keep a head alive. I forget if we were told if J was going to be Bernice’s new body or if he was just supposed to be life support for her head until a new body could be put together. Either way, that’s why it seems like W has been unlocking levels of code he didn’t actually program himself. That could become dangerous… but I’m just speculating.
it’s all good guessing. some correct, some not as much.
julius was indeed supposed to be the life support/temp body for berniece. there’s some stuff that’s been eluded to, but not explicitly stated, so no spoilers from me. but i do have a very definite idea of how the memory works for robots in B&B. it’s different, but won’t impact the story in any significant way. just fun bit of nerding out when i bring it up.
Yet another brain will soon be in that highly functioning body, at least I hope it shall. Further, I expect Miss Sandrine isn’t just foreshadowing such a result, but five or six shadowing it.
I do hope we can spend more time with Sandrine, she is amazing.
well now i have to kill her off, george rr martin style!

well, i don’t think anyone is off limits, but i see your point.

Looking forward to it!
