Well, if you ever did make a series, might I recommend Plasterbrain’s “Dream Awake” as the opening or credits theme? IIRC she cobbled the “singer” together from a royalty-free soundpack of voice recordings she modulated to sound like singing.
The lyrics kinda fit. Plus the phrase “black and blue” occurs in it a few times.
that’s not bad. it’s got a nice dreamy quality to it. we’ll pencil that in for closing credits. maybe a lounging sequence. that’s a creative use of royalty free dialogue, i must say. it reminds me of something, i can’t put my finger on. oh, it was a song in indigo prophecy, by marina topley bird. that sort of low and jazzy vibe. but none of her songs mentioned my comic by name, so she loses points there.
if you want to hear a band that i really dig for the same sort of thing, check out Elsiane. i think they might be gone at this point, but her voice is pretty unique.
Good stuff! Thanks for the recommendations; I checked them out when you first posted but forgot to reply. The song you were thinking of was “Sandpaper Kisses”.
I never expected these two characters to be baring their waistlines by moving their pants while interacting. Had I predicted it, I’d still be wrong about HOW.
different type of sideways. but i have speculated it would help my views. all of the sudden, B&B just turns into a total robot porn comic about a shy robot that lives next to a loud girl. drama!
hahaha, yup. well…. maybe in as much as how it pertains to deceit and revenge. but you wait, you’re gonna be surprised where the themes of this story takes us.
Ah, did one of the clones survive sufficiently intact? How fortuitous!
Hmm, is the Ochre where Alice picked up her nerve infection or was that just from the drugs that she became addicted to when treating the pain of her wound?
well, no. that would be one of the ones who got pew pew’d. i should have smothered him in blood. i think what was even more fortuitous is that he was thrown clear of the wreck, and landed in that casual pose…
oh, and to answer your question, the root infection is a symptom of abusing that kind of painkillers. i should have made that more clear. when HBO adapts it for tv, i’ll insist we work that out. hahah
Ah well, still could be useful! But yes, the casual pose is a nice touch! XD
Right, I’m fairly certain that was made clear by context a while back, I’d just become uncertain in my memory.
Not to worry, TV adaptations will add plenty of things for people to nit-pick! (especially every minute difference between the comic and the TV-show)
i can’t wait! that would be so much fun, and you guys, the long time readers can tell people ‘yeah, i used to read the comic BEFORE he got famous, and became an insufferable ass. this adaptation sucks.’

yes! that’s a great chill track. love that one.

haha, yeah. shit’s about to get all sexy up in here!
kidding. i promise not to make this comic go THAT sideways.
You mean it hasn’t already?

actually, i bet people would read that…..
I would argue that friendship is, indeed, still the main theme of Black and Blue.

Angel, pull your pants up.
Sheesh!
hey, he’s doing the best he can with one arm!
oh, and welcome to the patreon! thanks for joining up!

“Was he always a bald-faced liar?”
“Why yes! Yes he was. Let me tell you the time he claimed friendship was the central theme of Black and Blue…”
friendship and love. i stand by that.
I’d sooner trust Unger to run vegan kitchen. (I mean, I’d absolutely hire him, but only for the irony.)
haha, you mean to cook vegan food, or to cook vegans?
A little from column A and a little from column B.
