Winner Winner….. there’s nothing to eat.
a few weeks back, i put out the word that there would be a little draw to help design a character for an upcoming scene. we actually got a pretty good turn out, which tells me people actually read these posts. weird.
anyhoo, the draw took place, i contacted the winner, and was given my art direction. i present to you, the ‘director of medicine’.
had fun with this one, though i admit, at first i wasn’t sure how i was going to pull it off. i took some liberties, and kinda did it in my style, but i like the way it turned out. so i have a feeling i’ll be doing this kind of thing again in the future. thanks for everyone who wanted to get involved!
click the pics, and it’ll take you to my little instagram page, and you can peruse other sketches of mine while you’re there. if the mood strikes you.
Julius has come a long way since he was just a ring-headed skeleton admiring a thermos.
he really has. well, he had a leg up.
Well done! He’s very pointy! And can someone please tell me why I’m so dumb that I just now put together the “Alice” and “off with her head” elements of this story?!
oh…. um…. yeah, i wouldn’t say you’re dumb, cause it’s my story and i never made that connection.
i guess if you start down that path, it’s never ending. gibson is definitely the cheshire cat.
Snake, I think that’s going to a really good character! The spikes are going to be great for popping the bubbles of hubris and hope.
I would definitely want to be treated by that doctor lol. (Not) He looks like has a very unique idea of bedside manners and how to actually “treat” you. I love the design. It rocks!
Amazing work. terrifying, yet functional.
Oh, my gosh! It is so freaking awesome and terrifying! I wanted you to do it in your own style anyway. To clarity for everyone, I won the draw. ^^ I wanted a black armored medical robot covered in spikes! He does not disappoint! ^^
well i’m glad you dig it! keep an eye out.
Oh now THAT looks wicked cool. Love the little webcam strapped onto its head!
i meant for it to look like one of those old timey doctor reflecting thing-a-ma-bobs.
