If I go by the panel where we see them from above, he (she?) should be able to reach the other side from that distance even if the lever is pulled. On that panel it looks like he is 2 m from safe ground, top. That is just one jump and I do not think it is a very fast reacting machine.
The aimed firearm is a much bigger problem than pulling the lever. (Unless the robot is actually important to him.)
